Who we are
Circle Jay builds and manages websites for businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect through circlejay.ca, why we collect it, and how we handle it. If you have questions, contact us at hello@circlejay.ca.
What we collect
When you ask us to build your website, we collect the information you choose to give us, which may include:
- Your name, email address and phone number
- Your business name, location and a description of what you do
- The address of your current website
To build your preview, we may also review publicly available information about your business, such as your existing website.
Our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view, to keep the site running securely.
How we use it
- To create your website preview and contact you about it
- To provide, launch and maintain your website if you subscribe
- To respond to your questions
- To keep our website secure and working properly
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run our business, such as website hosting and form-handling services. They process information on our behalf and only for the purposes above. Some of these providers are located outside Canada, so your information may be stored or processed in other countries and be subject to their laws.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Your browser may temporarily store the website address you enter on our homepage so it can be carried over to our sign-up form.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law. If you don’t move forward after seeing your preview, you can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or withdraw your consent and ask us to delete it. Email hello@circlejay.ca and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “last updated” date at the top of this page.
